Membership Eligibility
Any person who is interested in the life and works of Jane Austen is eligible for membership and may become a member upon election by the Executive Board.
Membership Guidelines
- Complete and submit the application below. You will be notified of your acceptance in due course.
- The Friends of Jane Austen strongly encourage student membership. Accordingly, students may attend all events held by the Society but are not required to make an annual donation or pay fees for designated events or meetings.
- All members will be included on the Society’s mailing list.
- Non-members are welcome to attend functions but may be charged at a higher rate than members for some events.
- Members are not required to attend meetings or events of the Friends of Jane Austen. There will be a modest charge for most meetings and events but no dues are required for the present.
- Any member may contribute an annual donation. Funds from the donations are solely used to off-set the cost of the group’s meetings, supplies and student outreach.
